Seven Benefits of Sharing Your Faith, Part 2 of 7

The Second benefit of being a sharing Christian is that you will know the Bible better that you would otherwise.

Because of the experiences you will have in sharing your faith, you will be questioned concerning the larger issues of life. You will be driven back to the Scriptures over and over to find the answers.

Questions will be asked of you such as, "How can I know Jesus Christ is the Savior? How can I know God will hear my prayers? Why is there suffering in the world?" These are questions people have on their mind. They don't often get the opportunity to express them. But when someone opens the door to talk about spiritual things, these questions will pour out like a flood.

So, sharing your faith will drive you to bible study. You will see the Bible's practical application to life, and that's the way it should be. People want a faith that relates to today, not just 2000 years ago. They need something that will help them at their job, at home, when depression hits or whenever help is needed. All the answers to life's problems can be found between the covers of the book known as the Bible.

There is a progression in this knowledge and wisdom. The more you share, the more you will study, and the more you will know where to look for answers. You will grow in wisdom as are driven back into the Book to find the answers. The Bible backs this up in the book of Philemon "I pray that you may be active in sharing your faith, so that you will have a full understanding of every good thing we have in Christ" (Philemon 6, NIV).
